This is not a desk position. We need someone who knows construction from the ground up, can run a jobsite, lead a crew, maintain quality and production, and pick up the tools and work alongside the crew when necessary. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience in residential and commercial construction and understands most major construction trades.RESPONSIBILITIES
Be physically present on assigned jobsites and lead the crew throughout the workday. Direct employees, subcontractors, and tradespeople. Work hands-on with the crew when necessary to keep the project moving. Read plans, drawings, measurements, and scopes of work. Plan daily work and assign responsibilities to crew members. Make sure work is completed correctly, efficiently, and according to plans. Inspect workmanship and correct problems before they become larger issues. Coordinate materials, tools, equipment, and deliveries. Keep jobsites clean, organized, and safe. Communicate job progress, material needs, delays, and problems to management. Take responsibility for jobsite productivity and quality. Make sure crews stay productive throughout the day. Help train less-experienced employees and teach proper construction methods. Troubleshoot construction issues and find practical solutions in the field.TRADE EXPERIENCE
Candidates should have strong working knowledge of most construction trades, including: Framing Drywall Carpentry and trim Doors and windows Siding and exterior finishes Roofing Flooring Tile Painting Concrete Demolition Waterproofing Basic plumbing knowledge Basic electrical knowledge Basic HVAC knowledge General remodeling and renovation New construction You do not have to personally hold licenses in every trade, but you must understand how the work should be performed, recognize poor workmanship, and know how the different trades come together on a construction project.REQUIREMENTS
Extensive hands-on construction experience Experience leading construction crews Strong knowledge of multiple construction trades Ability and willingness to perform physical construction work Ability to solve problems independently in the field Must be able to communicate in basic/conversational English Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Must have a valid and active driver's license Must be dependable and able to report to jobsites on time Must be able to safely operate common construction tools and equipmentWHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We want someone who can walk onto a construction site, understand what needs to happen, organize the crew, identify problems, and get the job done. This person should be a builder first and a supervisor second — someone who has spent years working in the trades and has developed the experience to lead other tradespeople. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their jobs, cares about quality, works hard, and leads by example.Pay:
