Underground Boring & Trenching Laborer/Helper King Construction - 3.9 Miami, FL Job Details Full-time $180 - $250 a day 18 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Report writing Basic math In-person customer service CDL A Driver's License Driving Construction stakeholder communication Managing teams in a construction management role Crew management Construction workplace safety regulations Full Job Description This position will consist of individuals performing boring, Trenching, excavating, potholing, hand trenching as well as locating utilities. This position will require the candidate to have excellent customer service skills including leading a crew to produce high quality results in a specified time frame. This position will also act as a point of contact for construction coordinators inspectors and must be able to maintain effective and consistent communication with them. ensure crews have the proper equipment that is needed and making sure that all safety rules and regulations are being followed daily. This position will be responsible for required daily project updates, as well as job site resolution.
Responsibilities:
Equipment operation including mini-excavator and HDD, trenchers and missiles. Assisting in securing site; employees and safety daily. General maintenance of equipment as needed Interfacing with customers, inspectors and the public frequently. Other foreman related tasks as assigned by direct supervisor
Qualifications:
1-2 years of work-related experience in underground utility construction or telecommunications Valid Driver's License Class A CDL not required but preferred Any combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the designated job duties and responsibilities of the position. Ability to make common sense understanding to carry out instructions that are provided in written, oral or drawing. Ability to deal with and understand problems involving different variables in many varied situations. Ability to calculate figures and amounts (measurements in terms of distance, proportions, percentages, and area. Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics. Ability to read, understand and interpret documents such as safety rules and requirements, machine manuals of operation and process procedures. Ability to write information including reports. Ability to speak effectively to customers, coworkers, and vendors. Must possess, or obtain upon employment, a valid driver's license. Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening. Must be able to attend and pass all company required training as needed. May be required to work over-time; after-hours; on weekends or be on-call as work is needed. May include working nights and holidays. May be required to travel in-state, out of state or overnight as necessary to meet business and job requirements. Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position.
Pay:
$180.00 - $250.00 per day
