Overnight jobs within Florida as projects require Per diem: Paid for every overnight travel day (see Travel and Per Diem) Reports to: CIPP Crew Foreman / Field Superintendent About the Role As a Laborer, you are the hands-on backbone of that process. You will help prepare pipes, handle and install liners, control traffic and bypass flow, and keep the job site safe and organized, working alongside the foreman, boiler operator, inversion crew and CCTV technician on municipal, utility and commercial projects. Key Responsibilities Site setup and safety Set up and break down job sites, including cones, signs, barricades and work zone traffic control. Open and close manholes and help with confined-space entry setup, gas monitoring and ventilation. Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE at all times. Pipe preparation Assist with jet cleaning, root cutting and debris removal before lining. Help set up and monitor bypass pumping and plugs to keep flow away from the work area. Support the CCTV technician with pre- and post-lining video inspections. Lining and curing Load, unload and handle liner tubes, resin drums and installation equipment. Help wet-out (resin saturation), calibrate and roll liners as directed. Assist with liner inversion or pull-in, and feed hoses, ropes and cables during installation. Support the boiler operator during cures, including monitoring hoses and water lines. Help cut and finish liner ends at manholes and assist with lateral reinstatement. Equipment and cleanup Clean, maintain and organize trucks, trailers, tools and equipment. Restore and clean job sites at the end of each shift. Report equipment problems, damage or safety concerns to the foreman right away. Qualifications Required 18 years of age or older. Valid Class A or B CDL. Able to safely drive a dually (dual-rear-wheel) truck while towing a trailer. Able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen. Able to follow directions, work as part of a team and show up on time. Willing to travel within Florida and stay overnight, sometimes for several consecutive days. Able to work early mornings, nights, weekends and long shifts, since cures cannot be stopped midway. Preferred Prior CIPP, trenchless, sewer, underground utility or construction experience. OSHA 10, confined-space entry, first aid/CPR or FDOT Intermediate MOT certification. Experience with bypass pumps, jetters or small power tools. Bilingual English/Spanish. Travel and Per Diem Most work is in the Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach area, with crews sent to projects elsewhere in Florida as needed. Travel is limited to the state of Florida. Per diem of $[amount] per day is paid for each overnight travel day to cover meals and incidentals. Lodging is arranged and paid by Flotech Environmental. Travel to and from out-of-town job sites is in company vehicles or reimbursed per company policy. Advance notice of travel assignments is given whenever project schedules allow. Physical Demands and Working Conditions Outdoor work in Florida heat, humidity and rain, often on active roadways. Regular lifting of up to 50 lbs, with team lifts for heavier liners and equipment. Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, kneeling and work in tight spaces. Work near hot water, steam, pressurized lines, heavy equipment, traffic and open manholes. Exposure to sewer gases, wastewater, resins, fuel and noise; required PPE is provided and must be worn. Shifts can exceed 12 hours when a liner installation or cure is in progress.
