Job Description
Precision Landscaping & Design is hiring an experienced Hardscape Installer / Second Hand with strong experience in pavers, driveways, drainage, grading, and site preparation . We are looking for someone with approximately 3-5 years of hands-on hardscape construction experience who can work directly with our lead installer/foreman and help execute projects efficiently and to a high standard. Our current team is strong on the landscape/softscape side, and we are looking to add someone with deeper hardscape experience to strengthen our construction capabilities. Most of the work will include: Paver driveways Patios and walkways Drainage Grading and site preparation Retaining walls Concrete and masonry-related work Base preparation and compaction Experience with pergolas, natural stone, mud-set installation, concrete, planting, or irrigation is a major plus. Responsibilities Assist with and perform professional installation of pavers, driveways, patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other hardscape features. Complete excavation, grading, base preparation, compaction, screeding, cutting, and paver installation. Install drainage systems and perform general site preparation. Read plans, measurements, elevations, layouts, and construction drawings. Operate hand tools, power tools, compactors, saws, and other construction equipment safely. Operate or assist with equipment such as mini skid steers and skid steers when qualified. Work closely with the foreman and crew to keep projects organized and moving efficiently. Identify installation or site issues before they become larger problems. Maintain high standards for workmanship, elevations, drainage, alignment, cuts, compaction, and finished appearance. Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe. Assist with other landscape construction work when needed. Requirements 3-5 years of hardscape or landscape construction experience preferred. Strong hands-on experience with pavers and sitework . Experience with driveways, walkways, patios, grading, drainage, excavation, and base preparation. Comfortable using construction hand tools and power tools. Ability to measure, lay out, grade, and follow elevations accurately. Ability to work efficiently as part of a construction crew. Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship. Ability to perform physical outdoor construction work in Southwest Florida conditions. Valid driver's license and ability to drive required. Reliable transportation to work. Strong Plus Experience in any of the following is especially valuable: Retaining walls Concrete forming and finishing Mud-set pavers or natural stone Travertine Masonry Pergola installation Skid steer or mini skid steer operation Drainage installation Irrigation Plant installation What We're Looking For This is a good fit for someone who is already a strong second hand, hardscape installer, paver installer, or experienced construction laborer and wants to continue developing into a higher-level hardscape position.
