JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title Department Reports to Construction Laborer Field Operations Construction Superintendent Employment Status FLSA Status Effective Date Temporary Full-Time Part-Time Non-Exempt Exempt / /202 POSITION SUMMARY As a General Laborer you will be responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at a construction site. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines, load and unload frequently heavy materials, and follow directions from supervisors and other skilled tradesmen. To do well in this role you should be physically fit, reliable, and be a hard worker. This position works collaboratively with the assistant superintendent and superintendent. Travel between job sites may be necessary.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Arriving 15 minutes early Cleaning and preparing construction sites. Assist in managing the field and project team successfully and collaboratively. Assist with setting up job site logistics, field coordination and project schedule. Provide direction to multiple subcontractors and vendors. Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized state, including meeting standards for waste disposal and environmental protection. Assist the project superintendent with site deliveries, logistics, material storage, job site cleanliness, vehicle parking, etc. Responsible for nightly job site walkthrough and lockdown. Ensure vehicles are parked in their designated spots based on capacity. Ensure all vehicles are moving safely on the job site. Record and report and vehicle parking violations to Superintendent immediately. Provide and retrieve parking passes when vehicles enter and request to leave their designated parking spots.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks. Must have a valid driver's license. Ability to work in all weather. Teamwork

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. This position requires access to and use of a vehicle, as the assistant may need to be present at multiple job sites throughout the course of the day.

The Laborer must have:

Capacity to lift up to 100 lbs. Endurance and ability to visit entire job site, including stairs or other elevated structures. Ability to stand for several hours at a time and walk in varying climate conditions and on uneven ground. Ability and willingness to use basic tools if necessary, to facilitate project schedule or meet the demands of our clients. Willingness to work in hazardous conditions i.e., in the presence of noise, smoke, dust, chemicals etc. while properly using PPE.
