ing Details ed: May 26, 2026 Full-Time Locations Showing 1 location Pensacola, FL 32534, USA Job Details Description Position Summary The Rental Laborer is an entry‑level position based out of the rental store and is responsible for maintaining clean and orderly grounds, facilities, and Thompson's equipment rented to customers. This role supports daily rental operations by ensuring equipment and work areas are properly maintained and ready for use. The Laborer must be able to work independently under close supervision and perform duties in all weather conditions. The position requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including cleaning rental equipment, removing mud and debris, and maintaining the wash pad area. Basic knowledge of equipment operation is required, including lift trucks, aerial equipment, on‑highway trucks, and off‑highway trucks. The Laborer is expected to demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, reliability, and a commitment to efficient work practices. Compensation advancement is based on skill development and job performance. Essential Responsibilities & Expectations Demonstrates basic, safe operation of machinery and equipment Identifies and understands material handling equipment product lines Follows established 5‑Star Contamination Control procedures Performs shop and yard cleanup and maintains organized work areas as required Operates wash rack equipment and properly cleans rental equipment Maintains accurate and complete records of work performed Assists customers and company personnel in the yard as required Uphold the Core Values of Safe and Secure, Stronger Together, People of Integrity, and Driven to Serve. Qualifications Minimum Education High school diploma or the equivalent required. Minimum Work Experience No previous experience required. Skills and Competencies Organizational skills Basic Technical Skills Written communication skills Job Training Completion of area‑specific technical training Completion of required OSHA and MSHA training Completion of all required compliance training Safety Summary Working Conditions Work is typically performed at the Rental Store, including inside the Service Department shop and outdoor yard areas. This position involves exposure to physical risk and varying weather conditions. Extended periods of standing and walking on hard surfaces may be required.
