Construction Laborer

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled construction laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to perform physically demanding tasks on a construction site, including site preparation, material handling, and assisting skilled tradespeople. Some key duties of a construction laborer involve cleaning and clearing the site, digging trenches, loading and unloading materials, and operating hand and power tools. Laborers must be physically fit, able to follow instructions, and prioritize safety, often wearing personal protective equipment like hard hats and safety glasses.

Responsibilities Site Preparation & Cleanup:

Clean and prepare sites, remove debris, dig trenches, compact earth, and set up barricades or scaffolding.

Material Handling:

Load, unload, identify, and distribute building materials and tools to appropriate locations.

Assisting Tradesworkers:

Support electricians, plumbers, and carpenters by holding materials, handing tools, or assisting with tasks.

Tool & Equipment Operation:

Operate a variety of equipment, including jackhammers, drills, saws, cement mixers, and surveying equipment.

Concrete and Structural Work:

Mix, pour, and spread concrete; assist in setting up forms and anchoring structural components.

Safety & Maintenance:

Adhere to safety guidelines, wear personal protective equipment (PPE), maintain tools, and control traffic near work zones.

Qualifications Physical Stamina:

Ability to perform heavy manual labor (e.g., lifting 50-80 lbs), often in varying weather conditions.

Skills:

Ability to follow instructions, work in a team, and communicate effectively.

Education:

High school diploma or GED is preferred

Experience:

Prior construction site experience is required, preferably 1-2 years.

Reliability:

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Minimum Age:
