Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The therapist will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care by assisting individuals in achieving their therapeutic goals. This position involves working with pediatrics in a clinic setting. •Must be able to work afternoons• Responsibilities Assist occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients across various settings. Support patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to enhance their independence and quality of life. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and adjust care plans based on patient progress. Provide therapy services in clinic setting. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes. Educate patients and their families Foster a positive therapeutic relationship with patients to encourage engagement in their rehabilitation process. Qualifications Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational therapist license from an accredited program. Experience in pediatrics is preferred but not needed. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practice. Ability to assist with ADLs and implement effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with patients and healthcare team members. A compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on enhancing quality of life through therapy interventions.
