Construction Laborer / Helper

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Construction Laborer to join our team and contribute to various building projects. This role involves assisting skilled tradespeople in construction activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality on-site. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn and grow within the construction industry. Duties Assist with heavy lifting and material handling to support construction operations. Able to go up and down steps with heavy material. Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively Support concrete mixing, pouring, forming, and finishing tasks Install rebar, metal studs, framing, and perform drywall or plastering work as needed Read and interpret construction plans to assist with project execution Perform masonry work including bricklaying, stucco application, and tile laying Conduct roofing, flooring installation, and trim carpentry tasks when required Support restoration and renovation projects by preparing surfaces and assisting with demolition or cleanup Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment Skills Mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment operation Experience with construction estimating and reading when required Proficiency in rebar installation, concrete finishing, and concrete pumping processes Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and commercial driving as needed for material transport Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, tape measure and schematics for various tasks Familiarity with masonry techniques including metal stud framing and framing carpentry Ability to perform heavy lifting safely over extended periods and up and down steps Experience in roofing, restoration, renovation, or specialized trades such as welding or tile laying is a plus Strong physical endurance with the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Prior construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and teamwork skills This position offers an opportunity to develop a broad skill set within the construction industry while contributing to meaningful projects.
