Woodworking Full Job Description Job Description:
Jayhook Marine Construction is seeking a hardworking and reliable General Laborer to join our growing team. In this role, you will assist our experienced marine construction crews with various waterfront projects, including docks, piers, bulkheads, and boathouses.
Responsibilities:
Assist skilled tradesmen with day-to-day marine construction tasks. Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at job sites. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Perform heavy lifting and physical labor in various weather conditions.
Requirements:
Physical Strength:
Must be able to safely lift 50+ lbs on a regular, consistent basis without issues.
Transportation:
Reliable transportation to and from our yard and/or job sites is a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
General carpentry knowledge and experience with hand and power tools are a strong plus. A strong work ethic, punctuality, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Schedule & Benefits:
Work Week:
Monday through Friday, standard daytime hours.
Overtime:
Regular opportunities for overtime.
Weekends:
Occasional weekend work may be required depending on project demands and tide schedules. If you are eager to build a career in marine construction and don't mind putting in an honest day's physical work, we want to hear from you!
