$17.00 per hour

Airfare:

Provided to and from the job location. If the employee returns home before completing 45 days, they will be responsible for the full airfare cost. If the employee returns after 45 days, they will only be responsible for their return flight.

Position Summary:

Responsible for the loading and off-loading of customers personal goods and for the safe transport of all personal/commercial items from point of origin to the point of destination while providing excellent customer service. Position responsibility deliveries/packing/unpacking of furniture and appliances for homes, offices and hotels, and other work as requested by Island Movers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

While on the road, personally responsible for reporting all unsafe conditions at a job site to the crew leader. Packing/unpacking furniture, appliances, and household goods. Check manifest and mark merchandise for delivery to customers. Check for any damages and help driver load the truck according to manifest. Prepare merchandise for delivery and ensure necessary equipment is taken to protect merchandise and customers property. If you damage any merchandise or cause any damage to the home/business owners property, you will be held responsible for all damages caused by you. Global Ag will make a payroll deducted from your paycheck to pay for the damages. Assist driver with moving customer items/merchandise Stencil all incoming van packs and weigh any van packs that come back from the job sites. Log in all items received at the warehouse. Put haul away back in the truck after each delivery as applicable and set up for next delivery. Upon return to dock, place haul away into the container and clean out truck for trash. Perform other duties within the warehouse when not scheduled on the road as directed by the crew leader and/or Supervisor.

Must be able to do tedious and detailed work daily Required to complete multiple priorities with time-sensitive deadlines Work under minimal supervision and high-pressure environments Apply logic and reasoning to solve complex problems Use sound judgment and discretion in performing work duties and working cooperatively with others Must be flexible and able to adapt to change Requires excellent oral and written communication skills Requires long periods of being on the road Able to lift and carry items 90 lbs. or more for 8 or more hours a day for up to 6 consecutive days. Requires constant lifting of 90 lbs. or more from a height of up to 60 inches from floor. Requires carrying 90 lbs. or more for 50 feet. Requires ascending and descending stairs with 90 lbs. or more for three or more consecutive minutes. Able to push and pull 150 lbs. or more for 25 feet. Understand and follow all internal policies and procedures, House and Safety Rules, and any employee guidelines. Vehicles:

Report any accidents/incidents involving Global Ags vehicles.

PLEASE CALL THE POLICE RIGHT AWAY

if you are in an accident so that we will have a Police Report and have a record of the accident.

Example:

Getting into a car accident, causing damage to another vehicle, getting hit by a vehicle.

Drivers:

Report any traffic violations to Global Ag.(Running a red light, parked in a NO Parking Zone, speeding, seat belt not being used, using your cell phone while driving, etc.

Working Conditions:

Primarily outdoors, with constant time on the road, loading and unloading customers goods, with parts of the day spent on loading dock and in the warehouse

Normal Work Hours:

Monday

May require working overtime, on weekends and holidays per direction of crew lead.

Dress code:

Pants/Jeans/shorts

• black or blue (no surf or basketball shorts) Tennis shoes
• with rubber grip under sole and easy to remove, closed toe.

Facial hair to a minimal, no beards. Hair above shoulder or tie back. No jewelry. No earrings, nose rings, tongue rings, or eyebrow rings. Only Island Movers T-shirts and caps.
