Position Summary Elder Corporation is seeking a motivated and dependable General Laborer to join our heavy dirt and underground construction teams. This position performs essential job site tasks to assist operators, pipe crews, truck drivers, and foremen in maintaining safe, efficient, and productive operations. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and able to adapt to changing project needs. Benefits Overtime, travel pay, per diem, and shift differentials in accordance with union contract Competitive union wages Health, Dental, and Vision insurance at no cost to the employee Pension benefits at no cost to the employee Advancement opportunities Boot reimbursement Specialty tools provided Safe, clean, and team-oriented work environment Key Responsibilities Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in excavation construction projects Operate numerous types of small equipment including generators, cut-saws, laser sights etc. Shovel rock, dirt or sand Conducts flagger and spotter operations Checks grade Maintains a clean and hazard free job site Follow job site safety Qualifications Dependable with a strong work ethic and punctuality Ability to work extended hours during peak season Must be willing to learn new skills, specific to the industry Preferred experience with utility installation, concrete structures and flatwork, and/or finish grading Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Comfortable working around heavy equipment and machinery Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and stand for extended periods All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, physical examination, and background check.
