Job Overview Join our small Plumbing, Heating and Excavating company as a Construction Laborer and be a vital part of this small family business. In this energetic role, you will assist skilled tradespeople in various construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality at every stage. Your hands-on work will involve heavy lifting, material handling, and supporting the installation of structures, all while adhering to strict safety protocols. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in multiple trades. Responsibilities Assist with the setup and dismantling of construction sites, including site cleanup and organization Operate hand tools and power tools safely to support plumbing, hvac and other trades Support the installation of plumbing and hvac equipment and fixtures Support concrete pouring, mixing with concrete mixers, cutting and finishing concrete surfaces, and installing rebar and formwork Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of tasks Perform heavy lifting of materials such as plumbing materials and fixtures, HVAC equipment, lumber, concrete blocks, rebar, and other building supplies Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe environment for everyone on site Transport heavy equipment and materials to and from the job site Support underground pipe laying Perform dirt moving operation Support Horizontal Directional Drilling Perform equipment maintenace and repaires Experience Prior experience working on construction projects or in a similar labor-intensive environment is highly preferred Knowledge of construction processes is a plus but not required Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings is a plus but not required Hands-on experience with plumbing, hvac, pipe laying, excavation, concrete forming, finishing, cutting, and pouring is a plus but not required Understanding of safety protocols related to heavy lifting and the use of hand tools and power tools is essential Previous site experience involving renovation of plumbing hvac or construction projects would be helpful Prior experience running heavy equipment is a plus but not a required Prior experience in Horizontal Directional Drillin is a plus but not required This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their construction skills in a fast-paced environment. Pay:
$18.50 - $25.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 55.0 per week
