Job Description
This role supports a state-of-the-art, fully automated volumetric modular construction facility that builds top-quality, affordable housing. You will work in an indoor, permanent-location construction environment alongside advanced automation and robotics, helping to assemble modular components and maintain a stable, efficient production flow. The position is hands-on, fast-paced, and ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, problem-solving, and contributing to innovative construction methods.
Responsibilities
+ Perform a variety of general construction labor tasks in an indoor, off-site volumetric modular factory environment.
+ Work within an assigned department, as determined during the interview process, to support specific stages of the modular construction process.
+ Use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools safely and effectively to assemble, fasten, and adjust construction components.
+ Accurately read and interpret tape measurements down to 1/16 of an inch to ensure precise cuts, placements, and alignments.
+ Support a stable production pace by keeping work areas organized, materials stocked, and tasks completed within expected timeframes.
+ Help maintain high up-time of factory machinery by following operating instructions, reporting issues promptly, and supporting basic maintenance tasks as directed.
+ Follow established processes, instructions, and strategies to improve team performance and overall production quality.
+ Identify issues or inefficiencies on the production line and contribute ideas to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
+ Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of modular units.
+ Consistently promote and perform according to the company's core values, including safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
+ Perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and regularly lifting 50+ pounds.
+ Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure to 1/16 of an inch.
+ Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools in a construction, production, or similar environment.
+ Demonstrated ability to maintain a consistent production pace and support high up-time of factory machinery.
