Overview Local construction company is looking for a dependable and hardworking General Laborer / CDL Driver (Class A or B) to join our field crew! This position combines general labor with CDL driving responsibilities. When CDL-required work is not needed, you will work alongside the crew assisting with underground utility construction and other job site duties. The ideal candidate is reliable, willing to learn, comfortable working outdoors, and able to perform physically demanding work. Responsibilities Assist with underground utility construction and installation Perform general labor duties on construction job sites Perform CDL driving duties as needed Operate company vehicles and equipment as assigned Dig, shovel, trench, and assist with excavation work as needed Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment Assist with setting up and maintaining job sites Operate hand tools and other equipment as directed Maintain a clean and safe work area Follow all company and job site safety procedures Work outdoors in various weather conditions Assist crew members with other tasks as needed Requirements Valid CDL Class A or Class B driver's license required Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Ability to perform physically demanding work Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Reliable and dependable with consistent attendance Ability to work well as part of a team Strong commitment to safety Must be able to pass required drug and alcohol testing Must be willing to work occasional Saturdays as needed Willingness to learn and follow instructions Preferred Experience Previous construction or general labor experience Experience with underground utility construction Experience operating construction equipment Previous experience using hand tools Work Schedule Monday-Friday schedule Occasional Saturday work may be required based on project needs Outdoor work in various weather conditions Position starting at $25/hr with potential to earn more based on experience and performance.
