Job Title:
Skilled Underground Construction LaborerJob Summary We are seeking a dependable and motivated Skilled Underground Construction Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing underground utilities, working in trenches, operating construction tools and equipment, and supporting excavation crews. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Responsibilities Assist with the installation of underground water, sewer, storm, gas, and utility systems. Perform trenching, backfilling, grading, and compaction. Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment. Safely operate hand and power tools used in underground construction. Assist equipment operators during excavation and utility installation. Locate and expose existing utilities using safe digging practices. Install pipe, conduit, fittings, and related underground infrastructure. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site. Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in underground utility or heavy civil construction preferred. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 pounds. Experience working in and around trenches and excavation sites. Familiarity with construction tools and equipment. Ability to read and follow construction plans, grade stakes, and supervisor instructions. Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record. Valid driver's license preferred; CDL is a plus. Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
