Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Equipment Operator/Laborer to join our dynamic excavation team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and assisting with excavation site activities to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and contribute directly to medium-scale commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will help drive project success while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Duties Operate heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, dump trucks, and barges to support excavation activities. Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and material transportation to facilitate smooth project workflows. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Follow all safety protocols and procedures diligently while working on active excavation sites. Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment usage and site logistics effectively. Support various labor tasks such as site cleanup, material handling, and setting up excavation zones as needed. Maintain accurate records of equipment operation times, inspections, and maintenance activities. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, dump trucks, barges or similar machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience driving large vehicles like dump trucks preferred. Excavation site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety standards and operational procedures. Physical ability to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions while adhering to safety guidelines.
