Job Description
Monday-Friday 7:30 am-4:30 pm Job Summary Yard Laborer is responsible for receiving, moving, staging, and loading materials in the supply yard. This role ensures that building materials are handled safely and efficiently to support daily operations and job site deliveries. Due to the physical nature of the work, this position is performed in person on-site and requires the ability to operate forklifts and follow safety procedures. Duties and Responsibilities Maintain regular and predictable attendance; report to work on-time Provide excellent customer service and reflect our company's core values at all times Follow all safety procedures and reflect the company's core values at all times Load and unload trucks, move materials within yard or work site, or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or by yard truck Responsible for installation of strapping, bracing, or padding to materials including placement and tightening of restraints prior to departure to prevent shifting or damage in transit Read work orders or receive instructions to identify and locate materials Bunk and band materials into bundles using appropriate equipment Stage materials for job deliveries and ensure accuracy before loading Install strapping, bracing, or padding to secure loads for transport Attach identifying tags or labels to materials as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard area Perform other duties as assigned Complies with QSI policies and procedures This job description is intended to outline the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
