We are currently accepting applications for Laborer Co-Ops wanting to pursue a career in construction. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of commercial construction and remodeling practices as well as a general understanding of procedures, techniques, tools, equipment, materials, specifications, quality and cost control measures and safety requirements associated with commercial building. What You Will Do:

Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Communicate effectively with crew. Assist with general labor tasks such as site cleanup, material handling, and basic power tool operation. Support skilled tradespeople by preparing tools, materials and work areas.

What You Will Bring:

Currently enrolled in high school, at least 16 years of age. Interested in construction, engineering or skilled trades. Ability to work in a physical, outdoor environment (lift, carry, stand, bend, etc.) Strong commitment to safety, teamwork and learning. Reliable transportation to and from the job site. All Messer employees are required to comply with our Substance Abuse Prevention Policy as a condition of employment.
