Job Description
Chase Environmental Group is an environmental field services company with offices in Kentucky, Tennessee and Illinois. The services we perform range in scope from treatment system installation and maintenance, drilling, monitoring well installation, bioremediation injection, radiological decontamination and decommissioning to large-scale site remediation and abatement. This position will require 75% travel, Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions Engages in strenuous physical labor including lifting, pulling and pushing heavy objects including 55 gallon drums. Operates light and heavy equipment including, but not limited to: pumps, vacuum equipment, oil spill booms, generators, skid steers, etc. Performs drilling support during soil sampling and monitoring well installation. Handles various hand tools and powered (pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic) industrial tools including pressure washers. Works with vibration-producing tools including jack hammers, air-chisels etc. Works in various temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions (including extreme heat and cold) while wearing various levels of personal protective equipment Works in atmospheres and physical locations with the potential for exposure to various chemical and physical agents, some of which may be hazardous, toxic or corrosive. Works in potentially elevated noise level environments and confined spaces. Performs duties at various elevations including working from ladders and scaffolding. Assists in field sampling activities and calibration of meters and other electronic equipment. Complete and maintain all safety required training certifications, May be exposed to varying levels of physical activities and physical extremes such as long periods of standing, walking, crouching, use of hands, and heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds or more Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by management and required by the needs of the Company, Qualifications Requires High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent reading, writing and reasoning skills). Two years minimum experience in environmental remediation, manual labor, general construction and/or industrial cleaning is preferred. A valid driver's license is required, real ID is preferred. Clean driving record. Must be able to comprehend and understand the English language to a level that all safety instructions and emergency situations are met. Successful completion of a pre-employment background and substance screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) search as well continued verifications throughout employment to ensure that all records meet company policy standards.
