Job Description

Lead Carpenter / Skilled Tradesman — Spencer's Home Improvements Morehead & Powell County, KY | Full-time | $20-$22/hour starting, pay increases tied to performance
ABOUT US
Spencer's Home Improvements is an established residential remodeling and home improvement contractor serving Morehead, Rowan County, Powell County, and surrounding areas. We're booked through September and growing. We're looking for one skilled carpenter or experienced tradesman to join as a key hire with a clear path to crew lead.
THIS IS NOT A HELPER POSITION.
We're hiring someone who can run work, not someone who needs to be run.
COMPENSATION & GROWTH PATH
$20-$22/hour starting, based on demonstrated skill Pay reviewed at 90 days, strong performers move to $26-$28/hr Clear path to $35+/hour and crew lead role within 12 months for the right person Weekly pay, every Friday Performance bonuses on jobs completed to standard Steady year-round work, no seasonal layoffs
RESPONSIBILITIES
Framing, trim, drywall, finish carpentry, and general remodel work Read and work from plans and verbal direction Maintain clean, organized job sites Represent the company professionally with homeowners Help bring jobs in on time and on standard
REQUIREMENTS
3+ years hands-on residential construction or remodel experience Proficient with standard carpentry tools and equipment Own basic hand tools and reliable transportation Valid driver's license Strong work ethic, reliable attendance, sober on the job References from prior contractors or employers
