Construction Laborer - Commercial Waterproofing Job Description Aerotek is hiring immediately for a laborer in Natick, MA area! The Construction Laborer supports commercial waterproofing crews by preparing job sites, handling materials, assisting with installations, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment. This role plays a key part in protecting building envelopes from water intrusion on large-scale commercial projects by ensuring work areas, tools, and materials are properly set up and ready for use. This position is full time offering competitive pay and benefits! Responsibilities Prepare job sites by setting up work areas, staging equipment, moving materials, and ensuring surfaces are ready for waterproofing applications. Handle materials by loading, unloading, and transporting sealants, membranes, primers, tools, and safety equipment throughout the job site. Clean and prepare surfaces by scraping, grinding, washing, or vacuuming substrates to support high-quality waterproofing work. Assist waterproofing technicians, caulkers, and installers with masking, mixing materials, cutting backer rod, and setting up pumps and related equipment. Follow all safety procedures, including adhering to OSHA rules, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), maintaining clean work zones, and promptly reporting hazards. Operate hand tools, power tools, pressure washers, and grinders safely, and occasionally operate lifts under supervision. Perform general labor tasks such as debris removal, site cleanup, moving ladders, assisting with scaffolding, and supporting other trades as needed. Support precise waterproofing work by following instructions closely, measuring accurately, and maintaining attention to detail in all tasks. Collaborate with waterproofers, caulkers, and site supervisors to complete work efficiently and maintain a coordinated, team-based approach on the job site. Essential Skills Experience working in general labor or construction, preferably on active commercial job sites. Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work outdoors, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods. Familiarity with common construction tools, including hand tools and power tools, and understanding of their safe operation. Ability to clean and prepare work areas using scraping, grinding, washing, or vacuuming techniques. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and measure accurately to support precise waterproofing work. Capability to work safely by following OSHA guidelines, using PPE correctly, and maintaining clean, organized work zones. Teamwork skills with the ability to work closely with waterproofers, caulkers, and site supervisors in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in commercial construction environments, especially on large-scale projects, is preferred. Basic understanding of waterproofing processes, sealants, membranes, and primers is a plus. Comfort working at heights on scaffolding or lifts under supervision. Ability to adapt to changing job site conditions and support multiple trades as needed. Reliable work ethic with a focus on safety, cleanliness, and quality workmanship. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Natick, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
