Berkshire County Salary:
\$21/hrHours:
Mon- Friday 7am-3:30pm
Tasks:
- Clean and prepare sites to eliminate hazards
- Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers or rakes
- Load, unload or identify materials, machinery or tools, distributing them to the appropriate job sites
- Measure, mark or record opening of distances to layout area where construction work will be performed
- Position or dismantle forms for pouring concrete, sing saws, hammers, nails or bolts
- Position, join align or seal structural components such as pipes
- Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement or adjustment of machinery equipment or materials
- Prepare trucks and equipment for each day\'s tasks, ensure all necessary tools are stocked on trucks.
- Clean and maintain truck, equipment and machinery
- Assist with pouring, smoothing and setting of asphalt around newly set manholes
- Restore landscaping after dig ups, rake, seed and fence areas.
- Maintain and clean and safe work site

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow instructions and provide full attention to task at hand
- OSHA 10 certificate
- CDL a plus but not a requirement
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass drug test/background check
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with operating hand tools
- Available for overtime when needed
- Positive attitude and puts safety first.
