Commercial Reconstruction Technician $26-$32 per hour | Full-Time | Laurel, MD | Serving commercil clients thorughout Maryland and DC PBI Commercial is seeking an experienced Commercial Reconstruction Technician to join our Restoration Division. This position is ideal for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys restoring commercial properties in MD/DC region after water, fire, mold, or sewage losses. Unlike mitigation technicians, this role focuses on putting buildings back together. You'll evaluate repair scopes, perform high-quality finish work, and coordinate specialty subcontractors when work extends beyond our self-perform capabilities. What You'll Do Perform commercial reconstruction following mitigation projects Repair drywall, framing, trim, doors, ceilings, flooring, and paint Evaluate repair scopes and determine self-perform versus subcontractor work Coordinate with Restoration Team Leads to ensure seamless project transitions Document repair scopes using company software Oversee subcontractors to ensure quality and schedule compliance Maintain organized, safe, and professional job sites Deliver repairs that meet PBI's quality standards and client expectations Qualifications Required Minimum 5 years of hands-on commercial construction experience Experience with drywall, framing, finish carpentry, flooring, and painting Ability to independently complete finish repairs Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record Ability to lift up to 100 pounds Ability to pass drug screening and background check Preferred Restoration industry experience OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification Experience using BuildOps or Encircle What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a dependable tradesperson who can work independently, produce quality finished work, communicate effectively with customers and teammates, and take ownership of projects from mitigation handoff through final completion.
