Job Description

Job Summary:
Kaempf & Harris Sheetmetal, a Division of R.W. Warner, Inc., is looking to hire Sheet Metal Helper/Laborers. The Sheet Metal Helper/Laborer supports skilled sheet metal workers in both shop and field settings. Responsibilities include assisting with the fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal products, as well as performing general labor tasks to keep projects running smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with measuring, cutting, bending, drilling, and assembling sheet metal parts. Support installation of ductwork, panels, and other sheet metal products in shop or field locations. Load, unload, and move tools, materials, and equipment. Hold, align, and secure sheet metal parts during fabrication or installation. Perform basic tool and machine operations under supervision. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in both shop and job sites. Assist with setup and breakdown of work areas, equipment, and materials. Follow all safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Skills & Competencies:
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn trade skills. Ability to read and follow basic instructions and measurements. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Flexibility to work in changing environments and conditions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous construction, shop, or mechanical experience a plus, but not required. Ability to safely use basic hand tools and power tools. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks. Comfortable working in a variety of environments (shop, outdoors, heights, confined spaces).
Work Environment:
Shop fabrication and/or field installation work. Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and job site conditions. May require overtime, evenings, or weekends based on project needs.
Employment Type:
Full-Time Salary Range:
