        EXCAVATION LABORERM.T.
        Laney Co. Inc. is an established successful construction firm located in Eldersburg, MD. We are searching for experienced, committed, career-minded Excavation Laborers to join our growing team to work in the Baltimore/Washington area.

        The ideal candidate will be a team player who is highly motivated with a strong work ethic and desires to be part of a skilled construction team.
        RESPONSIBILITIES
        Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of equipment and materials.

        Assist in excavation by manually digs ditches using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakesOperate various hand toolsCleans and prepares construction site to eliminate possible hazardsMeasure, mark, or record openings or distances to layout areas w construction work will be performedMaintain pumps, compressors, or generators to provide power for tools, machinery, or equipment or to heat or move materialsAbility to assist with the loading and unloading of equipment and materialsOperate assigned equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and proceduresPerforms other related duties as assignedWalk-in applications accepted at: Laney Companies, 5941 Bartholow Rd., Ste A Eldersburg, MD 21784,

        REQUIREMENTS
        Ability to understand verbal ordersKnowledge of construction knowledge as well as safety standardsMust comply with municipality requirements, specifications, safety standards, and company policiesKeen attention to detail and awareness to maintain the safety of the work environmentAbility to work well with othersReliable transportationMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen andJob Requirements
        WORKING CONDITIONS
        While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions that can include extreme cold, heat, and muddy conditions.

        The work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that are typically associated with a construction project.

        Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.
        WORKING HOURS/EXPECTATIONS
        Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week, including weekend assignments as required
        PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
        While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch on all different types of terrain.

        Frequent bending, twisting, and standingThe employee is also regularly required to talk, hear, or smell as well as use hands to finger, handle or feel.

        The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on occasions.
