$18-$23/hour
Hours:
Monday-Friday, typically 6:00 AM-5:00/6:00 PM | 55-60 hours/week

ASAP Looking for a hands-on role with career growth opportunities? Join a reputable construction and industrial maintenance company with locations in Turner and Portland, Maine, as a Construction Laborer / Technician Laborer and make an impact every day. As a Laborer, you'll play a vital role in supporting sewer maintenance, pipeline inspection, and rehabilitation work. You'll work outdoors, traveling to various sites, and contribute to essential infrastructure projects. Success in this role means being reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to work within a collaborative team environment. This is a long-term, direct hire position offering training, advancement, and stability.
What You'll Do:
Operate and maintain tools and equipment used for sewer and pipeline work. Perform general outdoor labor, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Support trenchless construction and industrial projects across multiple sites. Travel to job sites throughout Maine; overnight stays may be required (hotel expenses paid by employer). Attend weekly safety meetings and strictly follow safety protocols. Communicate effectively with team members and adhere to on-site instructions. Participate in on-the-job and in-house training programs to develop skills.
What You'll Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Experience in construction, landscaping, logging, or similar manual labor roles (preferred but not mandatory — training provided). Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions for long hours. Strong mechanical aptitude and good hand-eye coordination. Excellent communication skills and a willingness to follow instructions. Valid driver's license (preferred); CDL holders may qualify for higher-paying roles. Ability to pass physical assessments and pre-employment drug screening (CDL roles must adhere to federal DOT standards). Clean driving record and no recent major violations or violent criminal history (background check required). Why Join Us in Turner? Location & Schedule:
