Job Description
Job Summary B Construction Group is hiring experienced Industrial Laborers for a factory scrap project in Jay, Maine. Industrial Laborers will support heavy industrial demolition and scrap-out operations, working alongside welders, cutters, and equipment operators in an active factory setting. Key Responsibilities Perform heavy labor in an industrial environment: demolition, scrap handling, rigging assistance, and cleanup. Load and unload scrap into roll-offs, trailers, and containers. Stage and move materials, tools, and equipment as directed. Assist with rigging, hoisting, and moving large industrial components. Work safely around heavy equipment, torches, overhead loads, and moving machinery. Follow OSHA standards, hot-work procedures, and site-specific safety rules. Maintain housekeeping in active work zones to prevent slips, trips, and fires. Other duties as assigned by the foreman or project manager. Requirements 1+ year of industrial, demolition, scrap, manufacturing, or heavy construction experience. Familiarity with working around heavy equipment and hot-work operations. Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for the full shift. Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in dirty/dusty conditions when required. Strong safety awareness and willingness to follow procedures exactly. Reliable transportation to the Jay, Maine job site. Ability to pass a pre-employment screening. Preferred (Nice to Have) Paper mill, power plant, refinery, or heavy industrial site experience. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Rigging, signaling, or forklift certification.
