This energetic role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential renovations to commercial builds, contributing hands-on to every phase of construction. You'll perform essential tasks that keep projects moving forward safely and efficiently, supporting skilled tradespeople and ensuring quality craftsmanship. Responsibilities Assist with the setup and preparation of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, and fastening materials Support carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with tasks like framing, formwork construction, rebar installation, and concrete pouring Mix concrete using concrete mixers and pump concrete where needed on site Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure work aligns with specifications Perform heavy lifting of materials such as rebar, lumber, masonry units, and roofing supplies while following safety protocols Maintain a clean work environment by removing debris and ensuring safety regulations are adhered to at all times Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely Experience with construction estimating processes and understanding construction plans and specifications Proficiency in working on diverse construction projects including heavy lifting, restoration, renovation, roofing, masonry, flooring installation, tile laying, stucco application, caulking, plastering, metal stud framing, concrete cutting, finishing and concrete pumping Ability to interpret technical drawings such as blueprints and construction plans accurately Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times Familiarity with concrete forms and formwork construction techniques Skills in masonry work including rebar installation and concrete finishing techniques Capability to handle heavy lifting tasks safely while maintaining proper posture and technique Join us to build a solid foundation for your career in construction!
