As a Construction Technician at Value Engineering, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of road construction projects. With a focus on inspections, reporting, and problem-solving, this role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in the field. What You'll Do Project Support Inspect road construction sites to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Develop and maintain technical project reports, including IDR (Inspector Daily Reports). Communicate with contractors, inspectors, and engineers to resolve on-site issues. Quality Assurance Conduct field inspections to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and safety guidelines. Maintain accurate records of project status, ensuring documentation is up-to-date. Ensure that quality control plans are followed and assist in the review process for submittals. Technical Communication Collaborate with project teams to address field challenges and problem-solve in real time. Use tools like AASHTOWare and field books to document and track project progress. Provide clear and professional communication with clients, contractors, and team members. What You Bring Education Associate's degree or equivalent experience in construction or engineering. Experience 4+ years in road construction or construction engineering. Familiarity with MDOT manuals and certifications required. Skills Strong understanding of road construction specifications and plans. Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Experience with IDRs, field books, and tools like AASHTOWare.Pay:
