Full Job Description Utility-Scale Solar Construction Laborer Location:

Contract Assignment Company:
Virtus Renewables Purpose Virtus Renewables is seeking Utility-Scale Solar Construction Laborers to support utility-scale solar construction projects. These roles are vital to the successful execution of site preparation and installation activities for large-scale renewable energy infrastructure. Laborers will assist with electrical and mechanical operations in the field under the supervision of site leadership. This short-term opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to contribute to the advancement of renewable energy while gaining valuable field experience in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Field Labor & Installation Support Support the installation of modules, DC wiring, and electrical systems. Assist with racking system assembly, including setting and securing steel beams, posts, and purlins. Operate a range of construction tools and equipment. Support general construction and site prep activities as directed by site leadership. Follow work plans and directions with attention to safety, quality, and efficiency. Site Safety & Readiness Adhere to all site safety rules and wear company-provided PPE at all times. Maintain a clean and organized work area to minimize trip hazards and ensure safe working conditions. Assist with equipment staging, material handling, and site cleanup before and after tasks.
Required Skills and Expertise Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction, solar installation, or related field labor.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift. Capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
Tools & Equipment:
Basic familiarity with construction tools and hand-held power equipment. All tools, PPE, and job-specific equipment will be provided by Virtus Renewables.
Reliability:
Must have consistent transportation to and from the jobsite. Valid driver's license required.
Education and Certifications Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Certifications:
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred; the company may provide training based on project needs.
