Hiring:
Construction General Laborer/Management St Clair, Michigan Growing Design and Build firm is offering employment for Part time/Flex time employee for general labor and maintenance. Must have vehicle (truck preferred) and live near or in St Clair County. Job duties include construction work and growth into construction management, heavy equipment operation, landscaping, painting, forestry and chain saw work, etc Responsibilities include: Proficiency in a variety of power and hand tools. Ability to use heavy machinery/equipment preferred Maintain tools and equipment as well as a clean job site; secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards Follow project instructions from construction manager or supervisor Follow all health and safety regulations Plan operations and schedule phases to ensure deadlines are met Understanding of basic landscape installation and maintenance Ability to use a chainsaw Other related work as requiredRequirements:
Must have valid driver's license Regularly works near heavy machinery and in all weather conditions, work conditions include indoor and outdoor work Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 80 pounds Must be able to work in a kneeling, crouching, bending, stooping, lifting, reaching, standing position and have ability to walk on uneven ground Excellent organizational and time-management skills Qualified candidates should send their resume where avaialable and include phone number. Duties Assist with the setup and organization of construction sites to ensure smooth workflow and safety compliance Support skilled tradespeople by preparing materials, tools, and equipment needed for daily tasks Supervise and coordinate labor activities under the guidance of project managers or site supervisors Monitor safety protocols, conduct site inspections, and report hazards or incidents promptly Help manage project timelines by tracking progress and ensuring tasks are completed on schedule Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and safety checks Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize construction processes Skills Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors Basic understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and site protocols Ability to follow detailed instructions and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to addressing challenges on-site Familiarity with tools, equipment, and safety gear used in construction environments (nice-to-have) Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred) Join us in building structures that make a difference!
