Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Excavation Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting excavation projects by operating heavy machinery, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute to efficient project completion and a safe work environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in construction utility work and heavy equipment operation while working on diverse construction sites. Responsibilities Operate excavation equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and Caterpillar machinery to perform digging, trenching, grading, and site preparation tasks. Assist with construction utility work, including utility locating and installation support to ensure accurate placement of underground utilities. Maintain and inspect construction machinery regularly, adhering to equipment safety procedures and federal construction safety regulations. Support construction grading activities by leveling ground surfaces according to project specifications. Conduct routine mechanical maintenance on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Follow all safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently, promoting a culture of safety on-site. Collaborate with team members to complete excavation tasks efficiently while adhering to project timelines and quality standards. Experience Prior experience in construction site work, excavation, or utility installation is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of heavy equipment operation, including excavators, loaders, backhoes, and Caterpillar machinery. Familiarity with construction grading techniques and site preparation processes. Understanding of federal construction safety regulations and safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation. Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting. Valid commercial truck driving license or experience with commercial driving is a plus. Proven ability to work safely in busy construction environments with a focus on utility locating and site utility work. Join us in building the future! Pay:
$26.97 - $50.00 per hour
