Job Description
General Construction Laborer Job Description SP Consulting Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and hardworking General Construction Laborer to join our growing team based in Wyandotte, Michigan. This position will primarily work as part of our Michigan crew on exterior commercial facility and parking lot maintenance projects. Travel to other project sites may occasionally be required, and overnight travel may be necessary from time to time. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, safety-conscious, and eager to learn. Responsibilities Load, unload, and move materials to and from work areas. Operate basic hand tools, power tools, drills, grinders, metal-cutting saws, and material-handling equipment. Assist with exterior commercial facility and parking lot maintenance projects. Assist skilled tradespeople, equipment operators, and job site foremen as needed. Assemble component parts using hand tools and small power tools. Follow established work procedures and safety regulations. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite. Maintain and assist with repairs to tools, equipment, and company vehicles. Work in various weather conditions and environments. Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers. Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality. Adhere to company values and ethical standards. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid chauffeur's license. Mechanically inclined with the ability to safely use hand and power tools. Strong physical stamina. Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly bend, stoop, crouch, and reach. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work overtime when required. Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight travel from time to time. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong work ethic and positive attitude. Preferred Qualifications Concrete experience Concrete finishing experience Asphalt experience Grading experience Experience operating equipment such as pavers, skid steers, and excavators Blueprint reading Compensation & Benefits $24.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and abilities.
