We are searching for a new team member who looks forward to coming to work, is hungry to learn, and has a positive attitude. We know work isn't fun every single day, but our goal is to have fun with those we work with, even on the hard days. We have a fantastic and dedicated team that works hard to provide our customers with quality, lasting results. The person hired for this position will be cross-trained and assigned to various crews as needed. If you are looking to try out a variety of skills and find your niche, this role is perfect for you! Starting pay range is $24-$29/hour, depending on experience. If hired, we offer a starting wage and then re-evaluate after the first 60 days of you working here. We offer employer-paid health, dental, and life insurance, holiday pay and vacation, and employer contributions to your retirement fund.
Job Requirements:
Must be able to work on foot for extended periods of time. Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and physical. Must live in the Duluth, MN area. Construction experience not required, but preferred. Ability to read a tape measure and have basic math skills. Must be willing to work overtime as needed. Must maintain a professional appearance while working on equipment and maintain positive relationships with customers and coworkers. This position requires lifting, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs., standing for long periods of time, and using equipment such as saws, shears, drills, etc.Job Responsibilities:
- Work with the concrete, excavation, and carpentry crews as assigned. This may include prepping, pouring, or finishing concrete, assisting the dirtwork crews with civil site work, and helping the carpentry team with things like framing, windows, doors, etc.
- Use BuilderTrend to clock time.
- Be open to learning new skills.
- Practice open communication with all Kaski team members.

- Have fun working with your team!
- Attend safety meetings as scheduled.
- Follow safety practices and encourage safe behavior amongst fellow crew members.
- Report any injuries to the project foreman and office staff.
- Communicate clearly with the project foreman regarding the scope of work, project goals, and team expectations.
- Bring up issues that need to be addressed and solved.
- Provide quality workmanship and ensure tasks are being completed according to project plans and specs.
- Enrollment into the CLA 84 union after 90 days of employment.
