Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY A
General Construction Laborer assists with various construction tasks including site preparation, material handling, equipment operation, cleanup, and basic construction duties. This role requires physical stamina, attention to safety procedures, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Load and unload construction materials and tools Prepare and clean construction sites Operate hand tools and basic power tools Assist carpenters, equipment operators, and other skilled workers Dig trenches, backfill holes, and compact earth Set up and remove temporary structures such as scaffolding and barricades Assist with tying reinforcing steel Assist with concrete form setting and building Follow safety regulations and wear protective equipment Remove debris and hazardous materials from worksites Measure and cut materials as directed Perform demolition and basic repair work Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
QUALIFICATIONS
(The training, education and/or experience necessary to fulfill the job) High school diploma or GED preferred Previous construction experience is a plus but not always required Ability to lift heavy materials (50+ pounds) Strong physical stamina and endurance Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety practices Reliable transportation and punctual attendance OSHA certification may be preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Safety awareness — wearing PPE, following OSHA/site rules, recognizing hazards, and helping maintain a safe environment.
Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
