Skilled Laborer/Operator

About us Searles Well Drillling, Inc. is a small business in New Ulm, MN that provides water well and septic services in a 60 miles radius area.

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled laborer to join our team. As a skilled laborer, you will play a crucial role in various construction projects, utilizing your expertise in construction of water well systems and septic systems. This is an opportunity to contribute to the success of our company and showcase your skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Duties:

• Ability to work alone and with others both verbally and non-verbally
• Must have mechanical aptitude and ability to solve problems/trouble shooting water well systems and septic systems
• Must inspect, maintain and repair (when practical) equipment
• Safety first at all times and especially in operation of equipment and around equipment
• Must be flexible in working in different areas of construction
• both in the trench and in the machine, as well as, operation of different pieces of equipment
• Willing to work in all-weather conditions and/or overtime to complete a job
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience in skilled labor or construction-related roles
• Strong knowledge of construction materials and tools
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Class A VALID drivers license with airbrake and tanker endorsements
• Must be qualified to operate a backhoe, excavator and skidsteer
• Must be physically fit
• Must be able to lift over 60 pounds
• Must complete or have completed OSHA Trenching and Shoring Competent Person training We offer competitive compensation based on experience and skills.
