Duties Operate heavy construction equipment including loaders, excavators, dump trucks, and paving machinery to support various project phases. Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on all machinery to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety procedures. Assist with excavation, grading, and utility work by accurately digging trenches, installing utilities, and preparing sites for construction activities. Perform utility locating to identify underground lines and prevent damage during excavation projects. Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe work environment. Support construction site activities by loading, unloading, and transporting materials using commercial trucks and loaders. Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining high safety standards. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, Caterpillar equipment, or similar equipment. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience in commercial truck driving preferred. Knowledge of construction utility work, excavation techniques, and grading practices. Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting. Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments for extended periods. Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety protocols and project workflows.
