Job Description

USDI is seeking a Natural Gas Construction Crew Member to perform pipeline operations, construction services, and maintenance activities for owners and operators of natural gas facilities. Work is typically performed outside and must conform to the strict requirements of state and pipeline safety regulations and company procedures. The individual will be responsible for tasks including, but not limited to: Pipeline construction, including service lines, mains, and intrastate transmission lines Assist in setting up new construction jobs and projects Assist other USDI offices, as needed, with construction projects and operating obligations Maintain Operator Qualification (OQ) certification Available for after-hour service calls, as needed Compliance records and documentation Interface with clients on a regular basis Understand, review, and comply with state and federal pipeline safety regulations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or Equivalent Utility, construction or welding, preferred Able to work independently and within a crew setting Able to work with minimal supervision or assistance from others Possess good written and verbal communication skills Physically prepared for hands on job tasks in all types of weather conditions Able to pass initial and continuous federally required Operator Qualification evaluations Able to effectively operate various company supplied equipment Willingness to travel, including overnight stays Maintain a positive work atmosphere through effective interactions and communications with co-workers, management, and clients Maintain a safe environment for co-workers, clients, and the public through adherence to established safety standards and timely reporting of potential hazards Must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record Able to pass a background and driving check, employment history, and drug screening • Must maintain residence within 45 mile radius of Unionville, MO office
