Job Description

JWilliams Contracting LLC is seeking a motivated, dependable Railroad Bridge Construction Laborer to join our growing team. We specialize in railroad bridge construction, rehabilitation, emergency repairs, and timber, steel, and concrete bridge maintenance throughout the United States. This is a full-time travel position. Employees should expect to travel to job sites for extended periods and work in a variety of outdoor environments. Transportation to projects, lodging, and per diem are provided in accordance with company policy. Pay & Benefits Starting pay: $25.00+ per hour (based on experience) Weekly pay Overtime opportunities 401(k) Health insurance reimbursement Benefits available after 90 days Company-paid travel accommodations (if applicable) Responsibilities Perform railroad bridge construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance Operate hand and power tools including impacts, drills, saws, chainsaws, and hydraulic tools Assist with timber, steel, and concrete bridge repairs Operate excavators and other construction equipment (experience preferred) Dig, grade, and perform general labor using shovels, picks, and other hand tools Lift and carry heavy materials and equipment Read tape measures and follow construction drawings Climb ladders, work from heights, and safely navigate bridges and rough terrain Follow all OSHA, FRA, and company safety requirements Maintain a clean and organized work site Qualifications Valid driver's license Minimum 2 years of construction experience (bridge or heavy construction preferred) Ability to travel full-time throughout the United States Ability to work long hours as project schedules require Pass a pre-employment drug screen Pass a background check Strong work ethic and dependable attendance CDL is a plus but not required Work Environment This position is performed outdoors in all weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow, mud, high winds, and uneven terrain. Employees routinely work around heavy equipment, moving water, railroad tracks, and elevated structures. The position requires frequent lifting of 75+ pounds, climbing, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
