$18-$20/hour, depending on experience Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week No Experience Required — We Will Train the Right Person Double J Fencing Inc. / American Custom Iron & Design Inc. is looking to fill one full-time Fence Laborer / Installer position . No fencing experience is required. We are willing to train the right person who is dependable, willing to learn, works hard, and consistently shows up ready to work. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, learning new skills, and being able to see what they accomplished at the end of the day. We have a good, hardworking crew and a positive work environment. We take pride in doing quality work while still making work an enjoyable place to be. What You'll Be Doing Installing wood, chain-link, jack-leg, field/agricultural, privacy, and other types of fencing Assisting with custom gates, ironwork, and specialty projects Setting posts and mixing/pouring concrete Measuring and laying out fence lines and job sites Loading, unloading, and moving materials Using hand tools and power tools safely Preparing and cleaning up job sites Learning proper fence installation techniques from experienced crew members Working as part of a crew to complete projects safely and efficiently Keeping tools, equipment, trucks, and work areas clean and organized What We're Looking For Experience is not required. Reliability, attitude, and willingness to work are. We're looking for someone who: Shows up consistently and on time Has a strong work ethic and is ready to work Is dependable and takes attendance seriously Is willing to learn and follow directions Works well with a crew Takes pride in doing quality work Can regularly lift 50+ lbs. Is comfortable performing physical work outdoors in varying Montana weather conditions Is looking for steady, long-term employment Previous fencing, construction, ranch, welding, fabrication, landscaping, or other hands-on experience is a plus, but we are willing to train someone with no previous experience who has the right work ethic and attitude. Schedule 40 hours per week During the summer, our fence crew operates on a 4/40 schedule — four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, with Fridays off. During the winter, the crew transitions back to a Monday-Friday schedule, approximately 7:30 AM-3:30 PM. Schedules may vary depending on projects, weather, travel, and workload.
