In this energetic role, you'll operate heavy machinery, assist with excavation tasks, and support various construction activities to ensure projects progress smoothly and efficiently. Your hands-on skills and proactive attitude will help build infrastructure that makes a difference in communities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in heavy equipment operation and construction site work while working alongside experienced professionals committed to safety and quality. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and graders to perform excavation and site preparation tasks. Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including moving materials and clearing debris. Support the installation of underground utilities through horizontal drilling and other excavation methods. Maintain safety standards by following all OSHA guidelines, wearing proper PPE, and conducting routine equipment inspections. Collaborate with team members to execute paving projects, grading, and site leveling activities. Help with the operation of specialized machinery such as Caterpillar equipment, rollers, skid steer to ensure efficient project flow. Qualifications Prior experience working on construction sites or with heavy equipment is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and graders is a plus. Valid Driver's License with clean driving record Familiarity with construction safety protocols and OSHA standards. Ability to operate or learn to operate various types of heavy machinery including horizontal drilling equipment and paving machinery. Strong teamwork skills with a proactive approach to safety and efficiency. Physical stamina to perform demanding labor tasks in outdoor environments.
