  • NCDA&CS analyzes soil for lime and fertilizer requirements for NC farmers, landscape / turf professionals and homeowners.
This position is the first phase of the laboratory process as samples are received into the lab, organized, dried and then mechanically ground before wet chemistry is performed. Must be available to work at least 40 hours (8 hours per day) or more per week, preferable : 6 am until 2:30 pm (1/2 hour lunch) or 7 am until 3:30 pm (1/2 hour lunch), Monday
  • Friday . Required Social Security Card Valid Driver's License or State-Issued ID Card Availability Monday
  • Friday (5 days a week) Responsibilities and Duties Receiving soil test boxes Organizing samples prior to lab analysis Assigning lab numbers Grinding soil with a mechanical soil grinder Qualifications and Skills High school education or equivalent Attention to detail Capable of lifting 50 lb. on a routine basis and standing on feet all day Strong work ethic
