Construction General Laborer for Office Furniture Installers Job Description We are seeking a motivated and skilled construction general laborer to join our team of office furniture installers. The role involves setting up desks, furniture, and storage units within office buildings. You will utilize hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tape measures, as well as cordless drills. Additionally, you will be responsible for unloading materials from trucks and transporting them into the workspaces. Responsibilities Set up desks, furniture, and storage units in office buildings. Utilize hand tools including wrenches, screwdrivers, and tape measures. Operate cordless drills for various tasks. Unload materials from delivery trucks and transport them to workspaces. Assist in reading and interpreting blueprints for accurate installations. Essential Skills 1+ years of experience using hand tools. 2+ years of experience in a current or recent job related to construction or installation. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in furniture assembly and installation. Knowledge of power tools and their safe operation. Background in general labor, carpentry, or related fields. Experience in door installation, drywall, and concrete work. Foreman candidates should have 3+ years of construction experience. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with some Saturday and Sunday work expected for projects with strict deadlines. Workdays are typically 9-10 hours, starting between 5:30 AM and 7:00 AM and ending around 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Occasionally, work may extend into the evening from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, as communicated in advance. Some travel is required, particularly to the Des Moines location during slower periods in Omaha. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Vista, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
