Lincoln Transportation and Utilities is hiring a Transportation Laborer to help maintain and improve our city's streets and drainage systems. You'll get hands-on experience operating tools and light equipment, performing maintenance work, and keeping our city running smoothly. Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Subject to OT during emergencies. Summer Schedule (Memorial Day to Labor Day): Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (may vary based on seasonal needs)
Qualifications :
Graduation from high school or equivalent and any combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills.
Necessary Special Requirements :
Possession of a valid driver's license when operating a vehicle is necessary to the satisfactory performance of assigned duties. CDL with endorsements, if applicable, must be obtained within 90 days of appointment. Training, including Entry Level Driver Training, is available at no cost for those who do not currently hold a CDL. •If you currently have a CDL, prior to being hired for this position you will be required to register with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse at: https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/register Why Work with Us?
