Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Masonry Construction Worker and bring craftsmanship and precision to every project! In this role, you will be essential in constructing, repairing, and restoring structures using a variety of masonry techniques. Your expertise will help create durable, aesthetically pleasing buildings and surfaces that stand the test of time. Duties Construct and repair walls, facades, walkways, and other structures using bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of construction plans. Mix and apply mortar or grout accurately for bonding bricks or stones securely. Install reinforcement materials such as rebar within concrete forms for structural integrity. Operate hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and lay masonry units with high accuracy. Build masonry scaffolds and set up formwork for concrete pouring in accordance with safety standards. Perform finishing tasks including concrete smoothing, plastering, caulking, tile laying, and stucco application to achieve high-quality results. Qualifications Proven experience in concrete masonry work including bricklaying, stone masonry, and concrete finishing. Skilled in interpreting construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and building material installation techniques. Hands-on experience with rebar installation, concrete forming, heavy equipment operation, and restoration projects. Familiarity with safety protocols on construction sites to maintain a secure working environment. Ability to operate hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels as well as power tools like saws and drills efficiently. Strong background in renovation work including carpentry (trim carpentry, framing), roofing, metal stud framing, welding, and tile laying is a plus.
