In this role, you will support daily operations at our waste and recycling facility by assisting with the sorting, handling, and processing of recyclable and waste materials. The ideal candidate is dependable, works well as part of a team, follows safety procedures, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment. Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Sorting & Recovery Hand-sort incoming C&D debris on a sorting line or designated floor area. Accurately identify and separate recyclable materials including wood, cardboard, metal, sheetrock, and small concrete . Ensure non-recyclable waste and contaminants are removed from the recycling streams. Meet daily production and recovery goals set by the shift supervisor. Facility Operations & Vehicle Safety Safely tarp and untarp vehicles , containers, and outbound trailers to secure loads and prevent litter. Assist in directing incoming traffic and guiding vehicles to proper unloading zones. Clean up spills, debris, and dust around the facility to maintain an organized yard. Safety & Compliance Operate in a safe and efficient manner at all times, adhering to all OSHA and company safety guidelines. Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, high-visibility vests, and gloves. Report any hazardous conditions, equipment malfunctions, or near-misses to management immediately.
