Job Description
Posting Details The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) provides a safe and efficient transportation system for the traveling public while promoting economic development and preserving New Mexico's environment. As a valued new employee to NMDOT, you may be eligible to receive three (3) days of administrative leave upon your start date. This is applicable to external hires not within the Stare of New Mexico Government. This posting will be used for ongoing recruitment and may close at any time. Applicant lists may be screened more than once. Why does the job exist? Position will perform a variety of tasks requiring unskilled manual labor. This position is with the Pavement Preservation Crew, which is a traveling crew. How does it get done? By performing various types of manual labor throughout the district. Who are the customers? Traveling public and pedestrians. Ideal Candidate Traveling public and pedestrians. Minimum Qualification No prior experience or training required. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid Class "D" Driver's License. Business reference check and Driver's License verification are also required, and employment is conditional pending results. Working Conditions Work is performed primarily in the field in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, wind, rain and snow.
