Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of various construction projects, assisting with site preparation, material handling, and the execution of concrete, masonry, carpentry, and other building tasks. Your energy and attention to safety will help ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. Responsibilities Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including unloading materials and preparing work areas. Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to perform tasks such as concrete mixing, cutting, pouring, finishing, and formwork construction. Support rebar installation, metal stud framing, masonry work, and other structural components according to blueprints and technical drawings. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of tasks. Perform concrete work including pouring, finishing, cutting, and sealing using mixers, pumps, and other specialized equipment. Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations; wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with renovation projects such as plastering, stucco application, roofing repairs, caulking, trim carpentry, flooring installation, and restoration efforts. Conduct heavy lifting as needed while maintaining proper ergonomic techniques; operate heavy machinery when trained and certified. Support site cleanup and organization to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Qualifications Prior experience working on construction projects or in a similar labor-intensive environment is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge including familiarity with hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, saws, drills, and other construction equipment. Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus but not required. Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and protocols is essential. Skills in concrete forming, rebar installation, concrete pouring/finishing/cutting are highly desirable. Experience with masonry work, framing (including metal stud framing), roofing, plastering or stucco is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods; physically fit for demanding tasks. Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards safety compliance and quality workmanship.
