Construction Technician Job Description The Construction Technician is responsible for executing trenchless pipe rehabilitation work in commercial, industrial, institutional, and municipal environments. This is a hands-on role that includes the installation of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP), conducting robotic branch work, operating CCTV inspection equipment, performing pipe cleaning and milling, and installing other pipe rehabilitation systems in accordance with project specifications and safety standards. Responsibilities Perform trenchless pipe rehabilitation work including CIPP lining, pipe cleaning, descaling, and milling. Assist with liner preparation, wet-out, inversion or pull-in-place installation, curing, and finishing. Operate CCTV inspection cameras and related equipment to document pipe conditions before and after rehabilitation. Safely operate tools, pumps, generators, compressors, and other job-specific equipment. Set up and break down job sites, including hoses, cables, access points, and containment areas. Follow job plans, technical procedures, and direction from crew leads and supervisors. Essential Skills 1+ years of mechanical aptitude, whether from job experience or personal hobbies. Willingness to become OSHA certified and maintain a positive attitude. Ability to pass MVR and possess reliable transportation. Mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Service-oriented mindset. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in construction. Willingness to undergo training and certification processes as required. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work is conducted in commercial and industrial environments, both in new builds and pre-existing structures. Typical hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with the opportunity for 5-10 hours of overtime weekly. Employees report to the shop daily and travel with other technicians to and from job sites. Some jobs may require 1-2 days of overnight travel, with meals and lodging covered via per diem. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
